Hood To Higher Education is a community-centered organization dedicated to transforming lives through education, storytelling, and advocacy. Rooted in lived experience, our work bridges the gap between the streets, the classroom, and systems of opportunity, centering dignity, healing, and access.

We produce and host powerful documentary screenings that spark dialogue and drive institutional change. Through partnerships with schools, colleges, and community-based organizations, we provide professional development, reentry-focused programming, and culturally responsive training that supports justice-impacted and formerly incarcerated individuals.

Our work also addresses anti-hate speech and anti-bullying by fostering critical conversations, promoting media literacy, and advancing restorative approaches that build safer, more inclusive learning environments.
